Holmes & Co was founded by Andrew Holmes, a second generation antique dealer from Northern England. After spending much of his youth at antique fairs and provincial auction houses under the tutelage of his father, Holmes went on to gain a formal education in art and design history culminating in a BA hons. in Critical Fine Art Practice at The University of Brighton. 

An enthusiast of the unusual and obsolete, his taste combines an intense fondness of the traditional with a nod to the contemporary ready-made and the assemblage. 

Now located in Los Angeles, he spends his time hunting for unique and storied objects from the UK, US and Europe.
